My name is Andrei Botesteanu, and i’ve kept this blog for 2 years now (you can scroll way down to the bottom of the page for information on the blog itself). I write for the lack of a good listener, and also to keep my afterthoughts in line. I generally believe this to be a good exercise in sincerity and disclosure, allowing me to get to know my limitations and myself.
I’ve lived in Bucharest (Romania) all of my life, currently by myself in an apartament my grandmother passed on to me. Although it’s been a while, i have yet to make it my own – but i’m documenting this failure.
I’m generally interested in design, identity, branding and all kinds of things that are not quite art but do communicate. Because I procrastinate less when writing, retiring to do so might be a very productive prospect, but is still far. I’ve made shy attempts to pursue some of these inclinations but with no result. My freehand drawing skills are poorly developed and this is frustrating from time to time.
As life happened, I’ve got a hang of activities that include: translation work, social studies (would love to focus on online behavior – I have a degree in sociology and a postponed anthropology masters’ thesis pending completion), coffeshop stuff and writing (here).
I’ve complicated my personal life as often as I had the chance.
There are strong odds that I’ll review this section and only give it a final form in lack of further opportunities to review. Kindly join me in holding up until then. Thanks!
