I still believe in good people, in people who appreciate small things and don’t take anything for granted.
Yesterday a man walks into my office, addresses me respectfully with ‘sir’ (which doesn’t happen very often) and asks if i can re-edit his CV for a job in UK and name a price for this task. i told him that it will be ready in a couple of hours, and ignored what he said about paying me for this (because it was a simple job unworthy to ask money for). From reading his Cv i’ve learned that he works in a building near mine, has a child, he is married and over-all wants a better life a bit far away from home for his family (i assume is not applying for a job abroad just for fun).
After a couple of hours he came by to ask me if i can change the phone number on the CV, but I’ve already printed it. He thanked me and asked me how much it will cost, and i replied that it was nothing to it and i wish him luck with the interview but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and asked me if tomorrow (Friday) I’ll be in. I told him that i won’t be tomorrow or Monday at work and he said that he will find me next week and will think of something to repay me. I kept repeating that it won’t be necessary, but he wouldn’t listen.
A simple thank from the heart does the trick for me every time!

Kind words and story. Nice to see that some of us keep with dignity the giving a helping hand to his neighbor, in front of any minor reward.
Thanks is a golden word.
Thanks.
